One of my many passions in life is helping and serving others. Whether it be motivating others (as seen by the maxims above), serving meals at the homeless shelter, picking up trash off the beach, tutoring peers, or baking birthday cakes for foster children, I love volunteering. 

I enjoy not only listening to music, but playing as well. I am a double bassist and have been playing this very large instrument for about seven years. Participating in orchestra has allowed me to express myself through the music I play via tone, dynamics, and expression. Additionally, I have been able to grow as a person and a leader through orchestra, learning to listen to others as well as playing confidently in solo. Music has also provided me with another outlet to help others, such as tutoring and guiding bassists that are at a beginner level.

My family and friends are a central focus in my life. I care about the people around me deeply and am so thankful for the parents, siblings, extended family, and friends I have in my life. They have shaped and guided me into the person I am today. Thanks to my family, I have been able to travel, learn, and grow in an array of subjects, including patience and understanding. My family and friends have supported and believed in me, pushing me to be better and do better.
